School Advisory Council (SAC)
The SAC is an elected committee made up of parents, faculty and staff, the principal; and business and community representatives who work together as an advisory committee for the school. Its main purpose is to establish, evaluate, monitor, and maintain the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
The duties of our SAC are defined and governed by Florida State Statute and those set forth in Chapter 3.30 of the Lake County School Board Policy.
The role of the parent is to be a voice for other parents, keep parents informed and get their opinions, report to the PTO about school improvement activities and become knowledgeable about the operation of the school.
School Improvement Plan
This plan is a formal document that shows the processes utilized by the school to improve student performance/achievement, which is then submitted to the School Board for approval.
